The name Seven Seeds was envisioned from what has become known as the seven species of Israel, as written in Deuteronomy 8:8. Wheat, barley, dates, pomegranates, figs, grapes, and olives — each species contains a seed and each seed is a miracle of God, bringing people together around the table of life and relationship.

Similarly, we view coffee as a seed which contains the same great ideas. Whether in the hills and mountains of Thailand or Nicaragua, or simply roasting together on site, our mission is to nurture the idea found in the seed and to make friends from the tree all the way to the cup. We see that through our work with the coffee farmers of the Akha hill tribe of Southeast Asia, who we meet with on a personal basis to both support their work and to hand select the finest beans for roasting.

Each of our varieties contains carefully selected Arabica coffee beans roasted in small batches to the optimal roasting point. We use a Diedrich Roaster which employs infrared burners to deliver a consistent heat source, enabling us to roast even the darkest roast without blistering or diminishing the subtle nuances of the beans. Roasting in small batches and hand-packing immediately ensures that the quality and care we put into our roasted coffee is delivered to our Seven Seeds friends.
